Another eccentric year for an eccentric festival rolling through New Orleans city as BUKU Music + Art Project returns this spring to bring the hottest Hip-Hop, R&B, Electronic, and Indie artists to fill their amazing lineup. The weekend of March 20-21 will be a weekend you do not want to forget.
Friday, March 20 will start off with a New Orleans very own artist touching the stage, Suicide Boy$, who is coming out of 2018 with their latest album, I Want To Die In New Orleans. This is the second straight time on the lineup. Another New Orleans native, Lucky Daye, will also blaze the stage with his soulful voice and soothing melodies. New York will also rip the stage with Brooklyn’s very own, Flatbush Zombies. Goldlink will serve his D.C. vibes along with the Grammy-award winning Roddy Ricch, performing songs from his latest album, Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial. Let’s not forget about BUKU LATE with FREEWATER and MOON.DOT being on the first night of the festival.
Saturday, March 21 has some heavy-hitters such as Ari Lennox, harmonizing over soulful beats with her passionate voice. Houston reps their hometown with two major artists, Don Toliver and Megan Thee Stallion, bringing the heat up from Texas and to the festival. Another Houston local preparing for her first BUKU performance is Kaash Paige, singing songs from her latest project, Parked Car Convos. KOTA the Friend is another Brooklynite ready to spit nothing but impactful bars. A new yorker partnered with a staple to the Atlanta scene ready to run up the stage is Run The Jewels. Another Grammy-award winning artist headlining the BUKU Festival who loves to rock the blonde bob wig and pink suits, Tyler, the Creator. To end the last night of BUKU off with a bang is BUKU LATE with DEADBEATS AFTER DARK wrapping up the festival.
